For colorful life
Finnish: KOTA and Swedish: kåta is a temporary dwelling used by the Sami people of northern Scandinavia. It has a design similar to a Native American tipi but is less vertical and more stable in high winds. It is still used as a temporary shelter

KOTA was founded 2016 by Newcastle based Finnish interior designer/fashion stylist Krista Puranen Wilson for the love of good design. After many years in the industry and selling award winning Scandinavian design labels, Krista has now created its first homeware and clothing collections for KOTA. She draws inspiration from the avant-garde art and design from the 20th centrury as well as from the colorful world we live in today.
Love for bold prints and vivid colors are key elements for KOTA's trademark designs and we hope
you will fall in love with them too!
